"We would like to put on record the good work done by Security Guard Mr. Shekhar, Janu Meste who had taken immediate steps in informing the Sr. Manager Security, Jet Airway on phone as soon as he noticed smoke coming out of the Central Stores room of Jet Airway in the Car Park Basement at 2145 hrs on 17.01.2000.Because of the initiative taken by the guard the Security and Fire Services were alerted and timely action was taken to extinguish the fire. It wouldn’t have been possible if the guard wouldn’t have been alert on duty and not had the instruction as to what is to be done in such emergencies. Prompt action on part of the guard is highly appreciated. He may be rewarded suitably at your end."
